Tension at Gandhi Bhavan as NSUI president shifted to hospital

The state president of National Students Union of India (NSUI) Balmoor Venkat who has been on hunger strike demanding cancellation of Neet and Jee exams, has been shifted to hospital as his health condition said to have deteriorated.

Announcing this here today, Uttam Kumar Reddy who called on him today to request to call off his hunger strike, said the agitation would continue despite Venkat’s hospitalisation. “It is necessary as his blood pressure had dropped and pulse weekend”, he said.

Meanwhile, Venkat was shifted to Nikhil hospital in Srinagar Colony. Tension prevailed at Gandhi Bhavan as scores of Congress activists set out to go to Raj Bhavan. The heavy police force was deployed at Gandhi Bhavan to thwart their moves.
