Tension at Gandhi over death of KU student, Bandi pays a visit

The unemployed youth Sunil Naik who consumed pesticide in Kakatiya Arts college in Warangal two-days ago breathed his last today while undergoing treatment in Gandhi hospital.


His death evoked sharp reaction from the youth especially from unemployed educated youth who gathered in large numbers and staged a protest at Gandhi mortuary demanding justice to the family of Sunil. However, they were arrested after they tried to take the body to Gunpark.

Meanwhile, BJP Bandi Sanjay condemned the arrest of the youth after paying homage to the deceased. Speaking Mediamen, Sanjay demanded the police to respect the sentiments of the parents and the youth and permit them to take the body to the Telangana Martyrs’ Memorial at Gun park as being his last wish.

The BJP chief further demanded the Government to issue employment notifications immediately to reinstate confidence among the unemployed youth who are agitated over the death of Sunil. He appealed to the youth not to resort to this extreme step and cause pain to their parents. Because, he said, “your sacrifices will go waste as it doesn’t affect the CM KCR as is being a thick-skinned”.

Meanwhile, students of Kakatiya University along with several unemployed youth staged a protest in front of the Minister for Panchayat Raj Errebelli Dayakar Rao in protest against state govt attitude towards unemployed youth in the state.
