Hyderabad, January 1 (Telemedia) : Government of Telangana gave a tit for tat to the AP government by deciding to shift the School of Excellence, the residential school of tribals situated in Yatapaka  in East Godavari District to Bhadrachalam town in Khammam district. This was meant to prepare tribal students residing in remote parts of the state for entry into higher education like IIT, IIET, Medicine etc. It was set up during the united state by AP government in Yatapaka revenue division in East Godavari district.

With the bifurcation of the state and subsequent amendment to the Telangana bill by Central government, Yatapaka revenue division was merged into the residuary state of Andhra Pradesh along with 7 other mandals against the wishes of the Telangana people.  This created serious outburst by the people both in the region and through out Telangana. In accordance with erstwhile AP government’s GO No.3 by which school of excellencies were set up in remote tribal areas in 3 regions including Andhra, Telenagana and Royalaseema. In part 2 of the GO pertaining to 10 districts of Telangana region was set up in Bhadrachalam division. With the bifurcation of the state and the subsequent developments, the government of Telangana on Thursday issued orders for shifting  of school of excellence to Bhadrachalam from Yatapaka.
