TOMWJA condoles death of journo, calls for ‘Online Media Interactions’


The Telangana Online Media Working Journalists Association (TOMWJA) expressed its deep condolences at the demise of a young journalist Manoj Kumar due to Coronavirus in the city today. The young and budding journalist had to give up his fight with the Covid19 by breathing his last.

The General Secretary of TOMWJA Sridhar Dharmasanam on behalf of the Executive Committee expressed shock at the death of Manoj and the growing number of Covid positive cases among Journalists fraternity. He urged the politicians, police and other responsible citizens to avoid holding Media meetings wherein the physical presence of journalists is required in view of volatile situation prevailed.

“Instead, organise the interaction with media people through video conferencing using zoom and other related software available online”, said Dharmasanam. He also appreciated that the State BJP leaders have already been following this methodology successfully.

“The remaining political parties like TRS, Congress, Telangana Jana Samithi, Telugu Desam, CPI, CPM and all others should follow the suit”, he said adding that the Corona pandemic had taught us lessons and its high time we imbibe them and implement to make changes in our traditional approaches in every field.
