Telangana Real Estate Developers Association (TREDA) has extended financial support to Akshay Patra Foundation to enable it to meet the fund gap in supplying 20,000 Free Meals a day during the entire lockdown period of 21 days.
Thus in all, over 4,20,000 free meals to be provided to the needy in Hyderabad Metropolitan area through its 151 Annapurna canteens for the next 21 days.
A delegation of TREDA led by handed over the Cheque to this effect to Ravi Lochana Deva of Akshayapatra Foundation today at their Central Kitchen in Narsingi.
TREDA members have been providing free of cost essential food and sanitation items to all the members staying at construction site labour camps as well. The TREDA has also formed a high power group to monitor the welfare of Construction Labour. Each site had been assigned a Nodal officer from GHMC or HMDA.
It may be recalled the TREDA members have also donated a sum of Rs 4 crore to the “Telangana Chief Minister’s Relief Fund (CMRF)”. A cheque to this effect was also handed over to the Chief Minister Chandrasekhar Rao recently. Some of the members have also contributed to “PM Relief Fund” as well.
