The need and importance of Rail Coach Factory in Telangana has been scarcely undermined by the Central government, alleged Parliament Members of TRS party.
In a letter submitted to the Union Minister of Railways Piyush Goel, the delegation comprising TRS MPs reiterated its commitment to allot the required land for the purpose and urged to sanction the same as it has been a long pending demand getting favourable response for the last few decades. They also pointed out that the union government time and again promised establishment of the Railway Coach Factory at Kazipet.
“This is a statutory obligation under the AP Reorganisation Act 2014. Besides, the then Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh assured to this effect on the floor of the Parliament on July 24, 2018. Hence, the Act should be implemented in its letter and spirit”, they said.
The others who signed the memorandum and accompanied the delegation include K Suresh Reddy, Banda Prakash, P Ramulu, BB Patil, B Venkatesh, and Joginpalli Santosh Kumar.
