TS joins Nation in Clapping for Solidarity, Stands as role model


Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s clarion call to observe a 14-hour self-imposed Janata Curfew has not only proved to be a great success but also received thunderous applause in the form of clappings from the scores of people across various cities, towns and metropolitan and cosmopolitan cities across the country.


Scores of people came out into their balconies, verandas, and at their gates clapping for a near half-hour as per schedule at 5 pm to express their solidarity with those sanitary workers, police, traffic cops, paramedics and doctors working closely in fighting the dread Covid-19.

Governor Dr Tamilisai Soundararajan, Chief Minister Chandrasekhar Rao were among those who along with their family members and staff clapped at their respective places at Raj Bhavan and Pragathi Bhavan, respectively.

The other celebrities from cine and political circles who have posted their video clips clapping from their balconies and insides their compound walls include Junior NTR, Ramcharan, Nirmala Seetharaman, Rajnath Singh, Kishan Reddy in New Delhi, Akshay Kumar, Kaira Advani, Amitabh Bachhan in Mumbai, MP Balka Suman, Minister Srinivas Goud, the list goes on.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah congratulated Chief Minister Chandrashekhar Rao for the successful and wonderful conduct of Janata Curfew in the State. Speaking over the phone, Amit Shah praised the spirit of Telangana people and the way the entire administration implemented the action plan. Shah said that the Telangana State stood as a role model in this regard.
