TS Receives Best State Award For Petroleum Conservation

New Delhi, Jan. 17 (Telemedia) : The government of Telangana was chosen as the Best State among the bigger states in the country for initiating conservation measures on oil and gas consumption. The award was initiated by the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, Government of India, which selected the newly formed Telangana State government for the coveted award.  The award is for the excellent support and cooperation extended by the State Government for  various conservation activities organised in the State in the year 2014 and also for campaignining  through various modes of publicity.

The award was received by the Commissioner of Civil Supplies &  Secretary to Government of Telangana C. Partha Sarathi on behalf of Government of Telangana for the best performance in petroleum products conservation in 2014 at a simple ceremony held at Manekshaw Centre, Parade Road in Delhi Cantonment on Friday. Minister of State, Petroleum and Natural Gas Dharmendra Pradhan and Secretary to Government, Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas Saurabh Chandra were present. The State Level Coordinator for Petroleum Industry, Secunderabad  Ch. Srinivas also received the award for the same purpose.
