As per the instructions of Chief Minister Chandrasekhar Rao, the RTC has issued notifications for the temporary recruitment of staff for various posts.
The advertisement which was published in Eenadu, Deccan Chronicle and all other leading newspapers, has called for applications from even retired traffic and mechanical supervisors, retired mechanics, shramiks, electrical and tyre mechanics, clerks besides eligible drivers and conductors. It offered them a daily payment of Rs 1500 for drivers and Rs 1000 for conductors and Rs 1000 for the rest of the posts in other departments. The ad also sought to recruit experienced Volvo drivers and mechanics for multi-axle buses on the basis of Rs 2000 per day.
He asked officials to utilize the services of retired RTC and Police and other department drivers. “Recruit those having experience in driving heavy vehicles and buses. Officials should work day and night and restore 100 per cent bus services at any cost.” the CM instructed yesterday during the review meeting on RTC strike. Accordingly, RTC has issued a notification published today in all newspapers.
