TSUWJ asks politicians and police to hold press meets online

The Telangana State Union of Working Journalists (TUWJ) has appealed to the politicians and policemen to conduct media conferences mostly online in view of the growing number of Covid Positive cases among journalists in the state.

Expressing their concern over the death of a young journalist Manoj Kumar due to Coronavirus, the President and Secretary of TSUWJ Nagunuri Shekhar and Virahat Ali said that it would be advisable for all politicians and policemen to conduct media conferences online through video conferencing in order to avoid the spread of covid pandemic.

“This has become imperative as the number of covid cases on the rise especially among the journalist fraternity”, said Virahat Ali while urging the managements not to pressurise journos to attend media conferences physically in view of the volatile situation prevailed. They also appealed to the government to help the family members of Manoj Kumar who died of coronavirus today.
