All those agitators facing criminal charges of conspiracy and vandalism in anti-CAA and NRC violence erupted last year following the amendment of the CAA act by the Central government. The state government has also released posters with their photos printed on it and pasted across the old city besides pasting them on their locked houses. Police declared at least 8 out of 14 agitators who were facing criminal charges of conspiracy and vandalism in the post-CAA violence as absconding. Those 8-men were booked under the Gangster Act of the state government.
