
Veteran vedic and sanskrit scholar of Telangana Brahmasri Dorbala Viswanadha Sarma passed away in his sleep in the early hours of Friday. He is 90.
He breathed his last at 1.30 am today in Hyderabad. Born in 1931 in Ramayampet of Medak district, Viswanadha Sarma gained expertise in Sanskrit and penned several books both in Telugu and Sanskrit languages. His book on ‘SriLalithvam’ gained popularity and received accolades in Telugu states.
He was also honoured with Vishishta Seva Puraskar recently by the Chief Minister Chandrasekhar Rao during the Telangana Literary Festival.
