VHP threatens to take up Kar Seva to rebuild temples in Secretariat

VHP state president M Rama Raju and Secretary Ramesh along with others are seen releasing the letter written to the CM KCR on Secretariat temple demolitions

Telangana unit of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) demanded the state government initiate action against those officials responsible for the demolition of two Hindu temples inside the old Secretariat complex.

In an open letter addressed to the Chief Minister Chandrasekhar Rao, the State President of the VHP M Ramaraju and Secretary Bandari Ramesh while pointing out that the demolition of the two temples including the village deity Nalla Pochamma and the ancient Shiva temple inside the secretariat has hurt the sentiments of crores of Hindus. It may not be out of place to mention that being a God-fearing person, there is no need to tell you the demolition of these temples may bring bad luck to you and the state as well. Hence, it would be advisable to reconstruct the same and tender apology to God said, Rama Raju.

He also reminded the CM of our traditional practice of seeking the blessings of Goddess before starting any construction activity especially when there is a huge structure. He quoted the incident wherein the then Chief Minister late Dr Marri Chenna Reddy had sought the blessings of goddess of Nalla Pochamma after he escaped a major plane accident in the past.

Rama Raju also found fault with the CM KCR for not allowing any Hindu religious heads in Pragathi Bhavan “Whereas Pragathi Bhavan was kept open for other religious leaders”, he pointed and demanded that a meeting be arranged with all Peethadhipathis, Swamyjis and other Hindu religious heads at Pragati Bhavan and take corrective measures in this regard. “Otherwise, VHP would take Kar Seva on its own and build the temple”, he declared.
