Former chief of Telangana Congress party V Hanumanth Rao accuses CM KCR of forcibly taking over the poor people’s lands on one hand while celebrating PV Narasimha Rao’s centenary on the other.
Addressing media at his residence here today, Hanumanth Rao said: “It would be fitting tribute to the late son of the soil PV Narasimha Rao when no poor man’s land is being taken over by the government”.
He further informed KCR government has forcibly occupied the land belonging to a poor Dalit Begari Narasimhulu’s 13 guntas of land in Velur village in Gajewel constituency. He charged that officials have forcibly taken it despite Narasimhulu possessing land Patta in his name. “This is an atrocious and dubious character of KCR is evident as he occupies poor people’s land on one hand and celebrates PV’s anniversaries on the other.
“It would be a real tribute to PV Narasimha Rao who had introduced land reforms in the state if KCR restores back the occupied land to the Poorman”, he demanded while informing that he had been to the village and met the victim and paid him a compensation of Rs10,000.
