Why TRS MLAs not being treated in Gandhi hospital: Congress

Congress leader Vamshi Chand Reddy came down heavily on the KCR government for unable to treat its party MLAs affected by the Coronavirus.

Vamshi Chand Reddy alleged that because of the inability of their own government, TRS MLA Muttireddy Yadagiri Reddy joined the private hospital for Covid treatment as the lone Gandhi hospital lack the proper testing and treatment facilities.

He pointed out that the chief minister has proclaimed that Gandhi Medical Hospital has the best of the best treatment facilities and equipment to treat corona patients in the state. “If that is so then why has the TRS MLA tested positive was undergoing treatment in a corporate hospital”, he questioned adding that is a glaring example for the government’s failure in treating and saving the covid patients.

He further said that Gandhi hospital does not have necessary infra and equipment due to which the ruling party MLA himself refused to be admitted in GMH. Knowing the situation and the plight of the covid patients in GMH, the TRS MLA ran to a private hospital with an urge to save his own life. He said this shambolic and ineffective procedure adopted by the state govt in treating covid patients is shameful and disgraceful on its part. He also questioned the govt on its prejudiced attitude towards the rich and affluent and being absolutely inhuman and inconsiderate towards the poor and middle-class civilians.
