Withdraw case against Sonia Gandhi unconditionally: KPCC chief to CM

The Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) president DK Shivakumar demanded the Chief Minister Yeddyurappa withdraw the case filed against his party’s national president Sonia Gandhi unconditionally.

It may be recalled, a case was filed and an FIR was also issued against Sonia Gandhi in Sagar Town Police Station in Shivamogga yesterday for what they termed ‘spreading rumours’ and ‘misleading the public’ through the tweets against the PM-CARES Fund on her party’s official Twitter handle.

Shivakumar wanted CM to cancel the FIR immediately as the complaint was lodged with political motives. He also accused the state police of misusing their power by registering such cases without verifying motives behind it.

The INC India Twitter account posted messages against Prime Minister Narendra Modi on May 11 at 6 pm alleging ‘misuse’ of PM-CARES Fund.
