Mandal Revenue Officer of Keesara Nagaraju was caught red-handed by the Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) sleuths while accepting a bribe of Rs.1.10 crore in connection with a land dispute in Keesara.
According to the details available, the incident sent shock waves among revenue employees and also in the government as it is the first that an MRO rank officer demanding such a huge sum. He said to have demanded the money to clear a dispute favouring one party in connection with 28 acres of land in his jurisdiction.
On the tip-off, the ACB sleuths laid a trap and caught him red-handed. Subsequently, raids are being conducted on his house, office, relatives and friends etc.
