Telangana Youth Congress workers today stormed the assembly to protest against non-allocation of funds for the unemployed youth in the state budget for 2021-22 presented in the assembly recently.


They took the police by surprise by storming in groups phase-wise from different corners and gave a tough time for the cops. The youth brigade led by State Youth Congress President K Shivasena Reddy was arrested and taken to different police stations in the city. Hundreds of youth in different groups led by state vice president Pravallika, Siddipet district president Anksha Reddy, Vikarabad district president Satish, Bongir president Barre Naresh participated in the protest programme. The slogans such as KCR down-down rented the air.

Later, Shivasena Reddy speaking to mediamen demanded the government to release ‘Unemployed Pensions’ immediately and accused the KCR government of deceiving the youth by not giving either recruitment notifications or pensions to survive. He also set a deadline for KCR up to March 25 for releasing the unemployed pensions failing which, he said they would storm once again on March 26 in this connection.

The other youth congress leader Prabhakar Mudiraj, Sravan Rao, Ramakanth Reddy, Sagarika Rao, Samrat, Pratap Mota Rohit, from Hyderabad besides Khammam district president Santosh and another group led by Sapanchs association president Dhanalaxmi participated in the protest.
